Calla lily bouquets

Lisa's bouquet comprised of Crystal Blush and Vermeer calla lilies. The bridesmaids wore purple and carried white calla lily bouquets.

I also made three gift bouquets that were packaged in water (aqua packed) so the flowers remained in top condition throughout the day.

Katriona and Chris - Kirknewton Stables

Katriona and Chris were married at Kirknewton Stables. Katriona had a unique and funky hand-made wedding dress, white with purple and silver detailing. She wanted a purple bouquet that was slightly teardrop shaped. I selected vanda orchids as they also had a 'wow factor'. The bridesmaids wore purple dresses and carried sunflower hand-tied bouquets.

The bride's bouquet was a wired design. As well as the orchids, I used Eustoma 'Rosita Purple'. The groom wore a vanda orchid buttonhole.

The bridesmaids' bouquets were made with sunflowers and were tied with yellow ribbon.

Rebecca and Mark - Kirknewton Stables

Rebecca and Mark were married at Morningside United church and held their reception at Kirknewton Stables.

I created the bouquets and buttonholes for the wedding.

I used vendela roses, which are a gorgeous solid ivory colour. The bride's bouquet also contained calla lilies, cymbidium orchids, bouvardia and wax flower.

The bridemaids bouquets were made with vendela roses, white spray roses and wax flower. The bouquets were tied with silver ribbon to match the sashes.

Hearts FC themed wedding flowers

Sharon and her family are huge Hearts of Midlothian football fans and as such this dictated her wedding flowers. I used Calla Lilies 'Majestic Red' and 'Crystal Blush'.

Wedding at Duddingston Golf Club

Elaine and Guy were married at Duddingston Golf Club. Since Elaine is Scottish and Guy is English, they wanted me to use roses and thistles in the bouquets and table centres.

The bridesmaids wore purple so I used Rose 'Ocean Song' in the bride's bouquet, along with Akito roses and thistles.

Wedding at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh

Sarah was married at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh. I took the above photograph of the Leather Room before it had been set up for her wedding breakfast. Prestonfield has extensive grounds, beautiful architecture and interior spaces - it's no wonder it has been named the most romantic hotel in Scotland.  

Sarah wanted a bouquet that incorporated roses and freesias and the colours pale pink, mid pink and white. I used Sweet Akito and Aqua roses, Ambassador freesias and Echo Champagne eustoma.

The table centre tied in with the theme and as well as the above flowers, I used pink hydrangea, soft ruscus and lily grass.

A May wedding in Edinburgh

Dawn's colour scheme was inspired by the groom's Buchanan tartan. She wanted to utilise neutral colours and orange.

The bouquet was made with roses, freesias, alchimella mollis and eucalyptus. Rosa Cherry Brandy was a perfect match with the orange tones of the tartan .

I made arrangements in gold fish bowls for the wedding breakfast, which was held in Wedgwood. The contemporary restaurant interior really suited the modern displays. The spherical arrangements contrasted with the rectangular shaped tables and the warm tones of the bronze calla lilies worked really well with the red walls.

The evening reception was held in The Lot in the Grassmarket. I decorated the stair case and pillars inside the venue with bunches of flowers and foliage.
