St Marys church and Dalmahoy Suite

White roses, paeonies and hydrangea were selected for this extravagant wedding. The bride had a set idea in mind so it was easy for me to know what to order and how to arrange it to her liking. In fact, the morning after the wedding she texted to say:

"Thank you so much for all your hard work on Saturday! It was a beautiful day and you did a fab job. The flowers worked amazingly and I don't think anyone else could have taken my idea and brought it to reality the way you did".

Masses of flowers!

Karen said she loves daisy-like flowers so Gerberas were a must in her bouquets. I added some white avalanche roses to the bride's bouquet so it stood out a bit from the bridesmaids bouquets.

White hydrangea bouquets

I never actually met this bride and groom, but they seem really lovely from the e-mails and thank you card! The bride's brother collected the flowers on his way to the wedding venue in Fife, from England, the day before the wedding.

Hydrangea can be a little temperamental at times so I was a little paranoid the bouquets wouldn't stay fresh looking. I kept the stems long and in water and instructed the bride to cut them an hour before the ceremony. Luckily they remained beautiful and I received a thank-you card, saying:

"Thank you so much for the lovely bouquets, buttonholes and sprays for our wedding. They were beautiful and we were really pleased with the whole service!"

Orocco Pier, South Queensferry, wedding

It's been a while since posting on here, even though I was really busy with wedding flowers this summer. I moved house and have been abroad for some friends' weddings, and now I'm in the midst of getting the house redecorated!

So, whilst the plumber is busy next door installing a new boiler, I thought I'd start posting photos on my blog.

To begin, a wedding in South Queensferry, at Orocco Pier. We dropped off the flowers at 8am on a glorious sunny morning.  I kept the bouquets in water over night and ribboned the stems when I got there, so they were as fresh as possible.

The bride's bouquet - orchid, gypsophila, rose and pearls.

8am was an early drop-off, but we treated ourselves to a lovely cooked breakfast at the venue, and then went to Deep Sea World!
