British grown flower bouquet

"Thank you. The flowers were perfect."
Therese, June 2013
Therese and Stephen wanted British grown flowers where possible. Therese didn't mind what colour the flowers were. I chose the focal flowers first, the cerise pink peonies, and the colour scheme followed suit.

Peonies, sweet williams, nigella, white thistle, saxifrage, alchemilla and spirea.

 White thistle, alstroemeria, white lavender

Rose and ivy garlands to adorn a font

I was asked to add some fresh pink roses to two ivy garlands purchased from Hobbycraft. The garlands were going to adorn a font for the Christening of baby twin girls. I selected a medium sized rose called La Poeme.

I wired 40 individual flower heads and taped them to the garland using florist tape.

Dundas Castle wedding

"Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and arrangements you did for us at Dundas Castle - we were so impressed!"
Sam and David May 2013

Sam and David were married at the beautiful Dundas Castle. The predominant motifs in regards to the decoration were candles and ivy, which fitted perfectly with the romantic castle setting . Two topiary trees decorated the entrance to the winding staircase and candles and ivy adorned the stone alcoves. The ceremony was held in the Auld Keep, which dates back to the fifteenth century. Lots of Ivy (I had ordered 100 lengths!), candles and fish bowls decorated with hydrangea adorned this room and the adjacent one where the couple signed the register.

Sam's bouquet was made with Sweet Avalanche roses, Avalanche roses, Nigella (also known as 'love in the mist') and eucalyptus. The bridesmaids bouquets were made with white Avalanche roses.

Grosvenor Hilton, Edinburgh, wedding

Emma was married at the Edinburgh Hilton in Edinburgh. I have delivered flowers to the hotel before but this was the first time I had to set-up flowers in the reception venue. She had a meal for close friends and family and I decorated this table with a variety of fish bowls that contained rose, thistle and clear pearls. For the evening do, small fish bowls adorned the tables.

Her bouquet incorporated rose, gypsophila, thistle and delphinium. The blue of the delphinium tied in with the bridesmaid's dress.

The bridesmaid's bouquet was like the bride's bouquet but minus the delphinium.

Table arrangements - fish bowls with rose, thistle, beargrass and clear gel pearls.

Cake topper - spray rose, delphinium and thistle
